Programs & Events
For children we have ongoing story times for many age groups, and for our adult patrons we host a variety of lectures and workshops. Check out our event calendar.

Ongoing programs include:

Holiday Open House, all in the community are welcome to take part in this Holiday tradition that features hot cider, song, and a visit from Santa. Summer Reading Club, during the warm months, children and teens that join the summer reading club keep their skills sharp. A party for participants at the end of the summer adds to the fun of reading! Budding Authors, children and teens that live or attend school in the Bridgehampton/Sagaponack district are invited to write and illustrate their own books, which are displayed in the library. This annual spring program celebrates writing , illustration, and encourages  the creativity of our youth. Computer Classes are offered  at the Hampton  Library. From basic computer use to advanced Internet classes, you will learn everything from how to use the mouse to sending and receiving attachments via e-mail. Fridays at Five, presented by the Friends of the Hampton Library, author lecture series every Friday at 5:00 p.m. during July & August. English Conversation, for adults who need to practice speaking English as a second language.

Computers and Internet Service
The Hampton Library offers public access to the internet, including more than fifty authoritative databases in Suffolk e-Resources, and the following software applications: Word; Excel; Powerpoint. Presently we have four computer stations available on a first come first serve basis. Patrons of other libraries who are given permission to use the computers by library staff must do so in the knowledge that they might be “bumped” at any time by a Hampton Library cardholder.

We are also a wireless hot spot! This means that any patron with a laptop with wireless capabilities can surf the Internet from any table in the library.

Fax and Copy Services
These services, offered at a nominal charge, provide a convenient way for patrons to send / receive faxes and make photocopies.

Homebound Services
If you have fallen ill or if traveling to the library has become too difficult, we are happy to deliver materials to your home,  select books,  or have them ready to be picked up by a friend.
