| Circulation Policy & Fine Schedule |
Patrons must have their own library cards to check out materials.
Materials must be returned before closing time on the date due or they
will be subject to overdue fines. The following applies to all patron
types.
Books: (Adult and Juvenile) no limit, max.
renewal , new books 3 times, 5 times old books.
Loan period, 2 weeks. Overdue fine $.05 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
Magazines: (Adult and Juvenile) no limit, max. renewal 5
times
Loan period, 1 week. Overdue fine $.05 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
Audio Books: (Adult & Juvenile) no limit, max. renewal 5
times.
Loan period, 2 weeks. Overdue fine $.05 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
VHS Films: (Adult & Juvenile) No limit. Max. renewal 5 times.
Loan period, 1 week. Overdue fine $1.00 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
DVDs: (Adult & Juvenile) Limit 3 new DVDs per card. No limit on
older DVDs.
Max. renewal 3 times newer films, 5 times older films.
New Fiction DVD
Loan period, 3 days for new films . Overdue fine $1.00 a day. Maximum
overdue fine $10.00.
New Non-Fiction DVD
Loan period, 1 week for new non-fiction films . Overdue fine $1.00 a
day. Maximum overdue fine $10.00.
Older DVDs (Fiction & Non-Fiction)
Loan period, 1 week . Overdue fine $1.00 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
Music CDs & CD Roms: No limit. Max. renewal 5 times.
Loan period, 2 weeks. Overdue fine $.50 a day. Maximum overdue fine
$5.00.
Inter-library loan: Hampton Library patrons are welcome to
borrow materials via inter-library loan. Due to individual library restrictions,
some items may not be available.
Overdue fines are subject to the lending library’s policy.
Reference Materials: may not be borrowed.
RENEWALS: Materials may be renewed unless they are at their
maximum renewal limit or if they are on reserve for another patron.
