Get a Library Card

Adult Cards:

Residents in the Bridgehampton/Sagaponack school district may obtain a library card at no charge. Just bring in identification showing your local street address, such as:

    A current property tax bill
    A current utility bill
    A current lease with at least 2 months remaining*
    Letter from parent/guardian for an adult living in their home
    A valid car registration
    A current rental agreement document/letter from property owner with at least 2 months remaining on the agreement*

If applicant is a property owner with photo identification that does not include local street address, library staff may consult a tax book for confirmation of property ownership.

Juvenile Cards:

If you can sign your name you can get a card! A Parent/Guardian must fill out a permission card for children under the age of 18 to borrow films & music CD’s.
Local Business Cards: A library card may be issued in the name of a business located within the library district. Such cards must be applied for by the business owner. Borrowing privileges are limited to materials at the Hampton Library and Inter-library loan requests. Overdue materials are the responsibility of the business.

Post office boxes do not qualify as proof of local residency.

*In such cases, library cards expire when lease expires.
