Your Hampton Library Receives Five Star Library Honor

LJ 5 star

I am excited to share this news with our community, The Hampton Library in Bridgehampton has received 5 Stars from Library Journal in their annual America's Star Libraries Index of Public Library Service for 2014. Thirty-Six libraries in New York scored a rating of 3 stars or more, The Hampton Library is one of sixteen libraries in New York State to receive a rating of 5 Stars and one of only six libraries in Suffolk County to receive 5 stars. Previously the Hampton Library had been awarded 4 Stars in 2012 & 2013

I would like to congratulate our community, the Library staff, the Friends of the Library and the Board of Trustees for their hardwork and dedication to the Hampton Library. You are all the reason the Hampton Library is such a wonderful resource to our community! Without you we would not have received this honor.

shadows of the paranormalShadows of the Paranormal presents Haunted Long Island

Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 pm

The Hampton Library is getting in the Halloween spirit with a thrilling presentation from Shadows of Paranormal, an experienced group of paranormal investigators from Long Island. Join us for a bone-chilling lecture where the history of Long Island is explored with the tales of purported haunted local locations. Local legends are investigated as audience members take a virtual tour of these haunted sites. Several notable locations discussed are the Amityville House, Mt. Misery, Kings Park Psych Center, Villa Paul Restaurant, and more. Audience members will listen to previously recorded related interviews with past guests (owner of Katie’s Bar) from our radio show, as well as review evidence gathered from investigations of these local haunts.
